At a glance

Use this guide when

Approved jobs are waiting in the queue, appointments need dispatching, or incoming booking requests need review.

Best practice

Enable weather alerts in schedule settings to anticipate rain delays and group jobs geographically.

Watch for

Declining a customer booking request immediately sends an unrecallable cancellation text to the customer.

01

Enable weather alerts in schedule settings

Weather alerts on the schedule calendar are turned off by default. To activate real-time precipitation and extreme temperature warnings on your dispatch board, go to Schedule Settings (/dashboard/schedule/settings) and enable "Weather Alerts".

02

Handling booking requests and declines

  • Accepting a Request: Confirms the selected slot and sends an automated confirmation SMS to the homeowner.
  • Declining a Request: WARNING: Declining a booking request immediately sends an unrecallable cancellation SMS text to the customer.
  • Reschedule Negotiation: Use "Ask customer to move day" to propose alternative dates via text before declining.

Completion check

Confirm before moving on

Use these checks to make sure the dashboard and the real-world workflow agree.

  • Unscheduled jobs are slotted onto the master dispatch calendar.
  • Weather alerts are toggled on in Schedule Settings (/dashboard/schedule#settings).
  • Customers receive automated booking confirmation and arrival notices.

Troubleshooting

When the workflow doesn’t look right

Weather warnings are not showing on rainy days.

Open Schedule Settings (/dashboard/schedule/settings) and verify the Weather Alerts toggle is enabled.
