At a glance

Use this guide when

Setting up automated follow-ups, review requests, appointment reminders, and setting quiet hours.

Best practice

Enforce Quiet Hours (8 PM to 8 AM in recipient/operating local time zone) so automated texts pause overnight and send in the morning.

Watch for

Sending too many automated messages can trigger carrier spam filters or homeowner opt-outs.

01

Understand the core automation rules

  1. Open Automations to review available event triggers: New Lead, Quote Sent, Job Completed, and Invoice Paid.
  2. Set automated delay timers (e.g. send review request 2 hours after job completion).
  3. Enforce Quiet Hours (e.g. 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM in the recipient's or account's local time zone) so automated texts are paused until morning.
02

Test automations before enabling

Always test automation sequences on your own phone number before enabling them for all live customer traffic.

Completion check

Confirm before moving on

Use these checks to make sure the dashboard and the real-world workflow agree.

  • Automation event triggers and delay timers are configured.
  • Quiet Hours are active to prevent late-night messaging.
  • Test message sequences are verified on a private test phone.

Troubleshooting

When the workflow doesn’t look right

Automated text was delayed until morning.

Quiet Hours settings prevent automated SMS delivery during nighttime hours (evaluated in the recipient's or account's local time zone). Messages queue and send automatically when quiet hours end.
