Use the AI Contractor Copilot and customize your companion

Leverage the in-app AI assistant with screen context, voice commands, and personalized companion avatars like Sparky, Diesel, Echo, and Energy Orbit.

Activate the AI Assistant on any screen

  1. Click the AI Copilot avatar in the bottom navigation or click the AI Copilot button in any record view.
  2. The copilot automatically captures your active screen context (such as the open quote draft, customer message thread, or crew calendar).
  3. Ask questions or request actions in plain English without re-typing customer names, job locations, or line item numbers.

Issue fast voice and text workflow commands

  • Estimate Generation: "Draft a 3-tier Good/Better/Best proposal with standard plumbing markups."
  • Schedule Queries: "Find all unassigned jobs in Maplewood for tomorrow afternoon."
  • Client Summaries: "Summarize this customer’s past payment history and open warranty items."

Attach job photos, PDF scopes, receipts, and rate sheets

  • Photo & Damage Inspection: Click the paperclip attachment button, paste from clipboard, or drag & drop job site photos to let your companion inspect equipment rating plates, damage, or punch list items.
  • Receipt & Supply Invoicing: Upload store receipts or supplier invoice scans (JPEG, PNG, WebP) to automatically log job expenses and recalculate job profit margins.
  • PDF & Scope Documents: Upload insurance adjuster packets, subcontractor bids, or PDF scopes of work for instant item extraction, cost estimation, and quote drafting.
  • Rate Sheets & Spreadsheets: Attach Excel (.xlsx) or CSV price books to calculate custom quotes or update service pricing directly.

Customize companion personas and style

Open the Companion Picker to select your preferred assistant persona and avatar (such as Sparky with trade uniforms, Diesel the Foreman, Echo the Safety Inspector, or Energy Orbit) to tailor response tone and detail level to your workflow.

Use these checks to make sure the dashboard and the real-world workflow agree.

  • The AI assistant opens reliably and recognizes active screen context.
  • You can issue quick voice or text commands to look up project records.
  • Your chosen mascot companion persona and tone match your preferred work style.

Troubleshooting

When the workflow doesn’t look right

AI assistant does not see updated page details.

Ensure page changes have saved before opening the assistant modal, or close and reopen the companion window to refresh screen state.

Companion avatar is hidden.

Check your user display preferences in Settings to ensure the mascot companion is enabled.
