At a glance

Use this guide when

Managing marketing audience opt-in compliance, 250-recipient batch limits, and carrier STOP compliance.

Best practice

Maintain strict TCPA compliance and respect carrier opt-outs across all promotional outreach.

Watch for

Pressing Save on a client profile will never re-opt a stopped number; the customer must text START.

01

How contacts enter the marketing list

  • Transactional Opt-In: Contacts created through website intake, phone estimates, or quotes are marked with status = opted_in.
  • Immediate Compliance: If a customer replies STOP to any message, carrier automation immediately locks their phone number into opted-out status.
  • No Dashboard Override: Editing or saving a client profile in the dashboard CANNOT re-opt a stopped phone number. The customer must text START or UNSTOP from their mobile phone.
02

The 250-recipient batch cap

Every marketing campaign broadcast is sliced to MAX_RECIPIENTS = 250. If you have an audience of 500 contacts, plan your sends in segmented batches to ensure full reach.

03

Email suppression rules

Email unsubscribe clicks permanently add recipient emails to the suppression list. The platform suppresses future marketing emails automatically to maintain high inbox deliverability.

Completion check

Confirm before moving on

Use these checks to make sure the dashboard and the real-world workflow agree.

  • Marketing audience list is reviewed for opted-in status compliance.
  • Broadcast batches are planned within the 250-recipient maximum cap.
  • Customer STOP opt-out invariant is strictly maintained across the workspace.

Troubleshooting

When the workflow doesn’t look right

A customer wants to receive marketing texts again after texting STOP.

Instruct the customer to text "START" or "UNSTOP" to your business phone number from their phone.
