Zero-Cloud-Outage Call Routing Architecture
By publishing your primary mobile carrier number (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) and configuring carrier-side Conditional Call Forwarding (CCF), calls ring your handset first. If you are busy, out of range, or do not answer after 3–4 rings, your carrier automatically rolls the call into your dedicated AI receptionist.
Why Carrier Rollover is the Most Resilient Setup
- Zero Cloud Outage Risk: If cloud telephony or internet services experience downtime, your handset still receives every customer call directly with zero cloud dependency.
- Instant Keypad Control: You can disable forwarding in 2 seconds using the cancel code from your carrier’s instructions, directly on your phone keypad.
- Zero Ring Delay for Callers: Inbound callers hear standard ringing before reaching your AI receptionist without robotic latency or dropped connections.
Carrier Codes
Forwarding codes differ by carrier and plan, and carriers change them. Open Voice Calls receptionist settings to see the codes we suggest for your carrier, then confirm them against your carrier’s own call forwarding instructions (look for "conditional" or "no answer / busy" forwarding) before you dial. If a code does not work, your carrier’s support can set it up for you.
Loop Prevention Safety
Because calls roll over from your mobile handset, the AI receptionist prevents self-referencing loops back to your personal line. Callers who request live staff can be routed to an alternate line (e.g. office line or partner) or take an instant callback message.
Disabling Forwarding (Carrier-Wide Reset Notice)
Carrier Reset Warning: Some carriers’ cancel codes are carrier-wide resets that clear every call forwarding rule on your line, not just this one. Check your carrier’s instructions before dialing a cancel code.
