Owner-gated data import hub

Although the data hub is visible, all four importer actions (Clients, Leads, Price Book, and Past Jobs) are strictly gated by Owner security clearance (requireOwnerContext).

Prepare and upload your CSV files

  1. Download the sample CSV template for the data type you are importing.
  2. Format columns: ensure phone numbers have area codes and addresses are split into street, city, state, and zip.
  3. Upload your CSV and inspect the preview mapping table before confirming the import.

  • Source spreadsheets are cleaned, formatted, and backed up.
  • Owner role executes the import with preview column mappings verified.

Troubleshooting

When the workflow doesn’t look right

An office user cannot run a CSV import.

Data import actions require Owner role clearance to prevent accidental data overwrites.

Import shows duplicate records.
